How to Capture Real Estate Leads from the Internet

Tired of paying for internet leads for your Real Estate Business?

I know you’ve heard this… “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day… Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”.

Buying a lead feeds your business for today but generating your own leads will put you on a path to financial freedom and success.

There are two basic things you must have in order to generate a lead from your website or your Blog. The first is an offer of something valuable that the customer wants. The second is an “opt-in” form or lead capture form that the prospect has to fill out in order to get whatever it is you offer.

A basic rule is that the more valuable, perceived or otherwise, an offer you make, the more leads you will capture. So the first step is to come up with an offer that a potential customer will find extremely valuable.

Here are a few examples:

  1. “How to Trade up Without Moving Twice – Special Free Report”
  2. “Unrestricted FULL Access to the Birmingham Area Homes for Sale Database”
  3. “Step by Step Guide to Own Your Own Home”
  4. “How to Avoid the 6 Biggest Mistakes Homebuyers Make”

You get the picture – whatever you are offering MUST be something that a buyer or seller prospect WANTS and can immediately use.

The second step is to put the offer on your site in the sidebar or even as a post. Graphics help but are not required. Then you will need to copy and paste the code for a lead capture form directly underneath your offer.

The lead capture form MUST be from an autoresponder – a system that automatically follows up by email with anyone who enters their name and email address.

Now, when someone enters their name and email address and clicks “submit”, they will automatically receive, via email, what you have offered them. PLUS – you have captured a lead and can follow up with them automatically with the autoresponder.

The best autoresponder that I have found and the one I use is Aweber – Check it out.
